Texas, I was told
Would be boiling hot
Be this freaking cold
Dear old Texas should not

My lips have been chapped
By the dry, frigid air
These low-down degrees
Are frizzing my hair

While taking the trash out
My fingers went numb
And while typing this out
I can’t feel my thumb

Texas, my friends
Should be boiling hot
Be freakishly cold
The Lone Star State should not

I randomly thought up this poem this morning, when my fingers went numb while taking out the trash. The rhyming scheme is intentionally Seussian, and from start to finish it took three minutes to write.

Cool poem. Though i wish i could find this cold you speak of.

What part of Texas you from? cause in houston It's SOOOOOOOO hot.
I actually miss Scotland's (where I moved from) freezing temperatures. cause i haven't been cold in almost two years:(
